Adventure Program | Empowering Youth Through Challenge

Adventure education has been proven to create lasting positive change in the lives of young people around the world, and it’s become a central component of the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home program. Through the Adventure Program, youth are given the chance to engage in challenging experiences that push their boundaries and allow them to make decisions in real-world scenarios. Activities like backpacking, rock climbing, and participating in ropes courses are designed to develop confidence, leadership, and teamwork, all in a safe and supportive environment.

By making choices and taking risks in a controlled setting, adolescents learn to navigate group dynamics, build leadership skills, and develop self-reliance. The program empowers them to challenge their assumptions about life and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and what it means to transition into adulthood.

Adventure-Based Activities

Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home offers a diverse range of adventure-based activities that promote personal growth and team-building. On the main campus, the gymnasium is home to one of the region’s few rock-climbing walls, providing a unique opportunity for youth to push their limits. Other thrilling activities, such as the “big swing” and “flying squirrel” apparatus, offer fun challenges that encourage children to face their fears and develop trust in themselves and others.

In addition to campus-based activities, youth can enjoy the adventure facilities at Camp Leavell in Three Rivers, New Mexico, where a certified ropes course offers even more opportunities for personal and group challenges. For a well-rounded experience, children also have the chance to participate in adventure-based trips to destinations across the Southwest, offering new perspectives and experiences that contribute to their personal development.
