The MacGuire Center | College Program
The MacGuire Center is dedicated to empowering youth through higher education and career readiness. Located in the heart of El Paso, our program is designed to support students as they transition from high school to college, providing them with the tools and guidance needed to succeed academically and professionally. The program provides a critical solution for students who graduated from high school while in the care of the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home.
This comprehensive program is a gift from the late Betty MacGuire, whose vision for education has inspired a generation of young people to pursue their dreams. The center offers individualized support to help students navigate the challenges of college life, including academic tutoring, mentorship, financial literacy, college application assistance, and career counseling.
Preparing for Success Beyond High School
At The MacGuire Center, we focus on preparing students for their futures by helping them build the necessary skills for success in both higher education and the workforce. Students receive personalized guidance through each stage of their academic journey.
Our college-bound youth gain valuable insights into career opportunities and receive hands-on assistance with job shadowing, internships, and resume building. The program also emphasizes life skills, such as financial planning and personal responsibility, ensuring that every student is ready to thrive in both their academic and professional pursuits.
Through The MacGuire Center, we are proud to help create a future where youth are not only prepared for college but are also ready to contribute to their communities and excel in their careers.
