As Chief Executive Officer of the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, Mrs. Renee Tanner oversees the organization’s operations, management, and strategic direction, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. She ensures the Home upholds its mission, philosophy, and bylaws while maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and budgetary guidelines established by the Board.

A dedicated child welfare professional, Mrs. Tanner is a licensed Child Placing Agency Administrator, an advanced-level Certified Child and Youth Care Professional, and holds a Texas Licensed Child Care Administrator’s credential.

Mrs. Tanner earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Education from The Pennsylvania State University. With more than 30 years of experience in youth education and family services, she has taught child development courses at Lamar University and El Paso Community College.

Her career spans roles as a child and family therapist, parent educator and trainer, and administrator of social services. Since 1983, she has been actively involved in curriculum development, specializing in family preservation, parental involvement, and early childhood education.

For nearly three decades, Mrs. Tanner has been an integral part of Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home. Before assuming the role of CEO, she served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Director of Training and Development, and Director of Client/Social Services. Her leadership responsibilities include

overseeing service delivery, community outreach, grant writing, fund development, licensing, financial operations, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. She is committed to advocacy and strategic planning to enhance the lives of the children and families the Home serves.

Beyond her role at the Home, Mrs. Tanner is an active leader in the El Paso community. She serves as Vice President of the Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso, is a member of Leadership El Paso and a former member of the El Paso Downtown Rotary Club, Renee also contributes to the Education Committee of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she is an advisory board member for The Children’s Hospital at Providence and a member of the Pan American Round Table.

Mrs. Tanner’s unwavering dedication, leadership, and advocacy continue to strengthen the mission of the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, ensuring a brighter future for the children and families it serves.
