Unplanned Pregnancy Counseling Services

Since 1959, Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home has been a trusted resource for women in the El Paso area facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancies. Our compassionate counselors and caseworkers understand the personal, physical, and emotional difficulties that can come with such a life-altering decision. We prioritize confidentiality, privacy, professionalism, and compassion throughout every stage of the counseling process.

Our goal is to provide women with unbiased, factual information about all available options, empowering them to make informed decisions that are in the best interest of themselves and their unborn child.

Comprehensive Support

Counselors guide birth-mothers through every step of the process, ensuring they are aware of available medical and hospital services and encouraging them to seek appropriate prenatal care. We collaborate with a network of trusted local physicians, clinics, and hospitals to ensure clients receive the medical attention they need. Our counseling services are available before, during, and after pregnancy, providing continuous support through a sometimes difficult journey.

Adoption and Foster Care as Options

If a birth-mother chooses adoption, Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, as a licensed Child Placing Agency with the State of Texas, can arrange for the safe and secure placement of the child. In cases where additional time is needed to make a decision, our foster care program offers temporary care for children, giving birth-parents time and space to explore their options.

Personalized Adoption Plans

Every adoption is unique, and we respect the wishes of birth-parents when it comes to contact with their child and adoptive parents. Depending on the preference of the birth-parents, the level of contact may range from no contact to the exchange of de-identified photos and letters, or even face-to-face meetings. If no initial contact is desired, but the desire for future contact arises, our adoption registry can facilitate communication when both parties request it. The adopted child must be 18 years old and have received pre-counseling before any contact can take place.

All adoption records are sealed upon completion of the adoption, and disclosure will not occur unless both the birth-parents and the adopted child request contact through the registry.
