The Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home is excited to announce that for the first time, we will have our Walk/Run for Families in Crisis online all day Saturday, June 27! This means participants can walk or run in their neighborhoods, permitted trails, or even in the comfort and safety of their homes on treadmills!

The health and well being of our children, staff, and supporters is our top priority, and after much time and consideration over COVID-19 safety precautions, we decided this would be the best way to continue our event.

All proceeds from the Walk/Run for Families in Crisis directly benefit the children and families we serve and help cover the cost of meals we provide for them throughout the year. Given the current situation and its inevitable impact on our community, our services will be as crucial as ever. We are so grateful to help children and families in crisis with the community’s support!

There are three ways to participate in this year’s event:

Run: Compete in a 5K competitive run, which will include trophies and medals for various participant categories. Participants will submit their run time, bib number, and a screenshot/picture of their pedometer before midnight of June 28.

Walk: Take a fun stroll for one mile! Dress up in your best costume to be eligible for a prize. Even your fur babies can be a part of the contest! Participants will email their picture and bib number to vmolinar@leemoor.org with the subject line “COSTUME CONTEST” before midnight on June 28. We will post the photos on our Facebook page the following week, and the person with the most “likes” by that Friday, July 3, will win a prize!

Explore: Families can participate in our scavenger hunt by donating any amount starting at $1 at ElPasoRun.org before or by June 27. By participating, you will be entered into a drawing and be eligible for a prize. We’ll announce a winner the following week.
